Audit services are an invaluable tool to not only your IT department, but also your finance department.

It can often mean the difference between removing or replacing the current equipment or infrastructure; or re-certifying and not wasting valuable budgets and having the disruption of a complete overhaul.

An audit can be applied to a number of IT orientated equipment or products. For example an audit can cover the following:

• Computers
• Printers 
• Network Hardware
• Cabling infrastructure
• Wireless LAN equipment
• Backbone connectivity

The audit consists of more than merely counting a number of items and supplying the information to the client.

Computers

It can include things such as connected peripherals, specification of the computer and whether it has been electrically certified within the last 12 months.

Cabling Infrastructure

We can carry out complete and comprehensive Category 5e or 6 tests using the latest industry certified Level III tester. A physical inspection of terminations and cable routing can be carried out.

In most cases where the infrastructure is in an acceptable condition, Norcomm UK can offer their own warranty for a small charge, even if we did not carry out the original installation.

All audits carried out by Norcomm UK will be fully documented in paper and electronic formats. If there are any recommendations or improvements to be made, this shall also be documented along with costs. Where the test results are to be supplied, the manufacturers read software will be included.
